Hose bib
An outdoor faucet — the spigot you connect a garden hose to.
A hose bib (also called a sillcock or spigot) is the outdoor faucet on the side of your house. In cold climates, a standard hose bib can freeze and burst the pipe behind the wall, so many homes have frost-free versions and an indoor shutoff valve. Before winter, disconnect hoses and, if you have one, close the interior shutoff and drain the line.
