Sediment flush

Draining mineral buildup from the bottom of a water heater tank.

Minerals in your water settle to the bottom of a tank water heater over time. That sediment insulates the burner, wastes energy, and accelerates corrosion. Flushing a few gallons from the drain valve once a year keeps the heater efficient and helps it last. In hard-water areas it matters even more.
