Weep hole
A small gap in brick or window frames that lets trapped water drain out.
Weep holes are the small openings near the bottom of brick veneer walls and along window frames. They look like a builder's mistake but are doing important work: draining water that gets behind the surface. Don't caulk or seal them shut — blocked weep holes trap moisture and cause rot and mold.
