Fascia
The board along the roof edge that your gutters attach to.
The fascia is the long board running along the lower edge of the roof, where the gutters are mounted. It caps the ends of the rafters and gives the roofline a finished look. Because gutters hang from it, overflowing or clogged gutters can rot the fascia over time. Keep gutters clear and repaint or repair fascia at the first sign of soft or peeling wood.
